Accomplishments

<p>The goal of WDC4004 is to successfully renew the project formally known as W3004, which expired in September 2019 and failed renewal earlier that year. WDC4004 was formed and approved to achieve this goal by pursuing the following two objectives:</p><br /> <ol><br /> <li>Recruit more participants from the West region.</li><br /> <li>Develop a revised proposal to have this project renewed (for this purpose, a temporary project number W_TEMP_5004 was assigned).</li><br /> </ol><br /> <p>&nbsp;</p><br /> <p><strong>Outcomes to-date</strong></p><br /> <p>(1) Recruitment of new members, and especially from the West region</p><br /> <ul><br /> <li>We have successfully recruited the new participants since the beginning of WDC4004. Research objectives for the new/revised proposal were discussed and decided.</p><br /> <p>&nbsp;</p><br /> <p><strong>Plan for the remaining project period (~Sep 2021)</strong></p><br /> <ol><br /> <li>Submit a joint project grant proposal for NOAA Sea Grant "Addressing Economic and Market Needs of the U.S. Aquaculture Industry." Participating members from URI, UFL, UHI, and UOG have agreed to collaborate and pursue this endeavor. Due date is April 22, 2020 with project starting date of Sep 1, 2020.</li><br /> <li>Submit the renewal proposal under W_TEMP_5004 before January 2021 deadline.</li><br /> </ol><br /> <p>&nbsp;</p><br /> <p>&nbsp;</p><br /> <p>&nbsp;</p>
